[edit] SummaryBlackjack is a card game where the players try to beat the dealer by getting cards sum closest to 21 without going over it as well as have greater sum of cards' rank than the dealer. Unlike other card games, in Blackjack all cards, both player's and dealer's, are visible. Players always play against dealer, not each other. Game process simplified: First player take certain amount of cards trying to get as high sum of cards as possible without going 21 one by one, and after that dealer does the same. One with the greater sum, one with the 21 or if one's opponent who has gone over 21 player wins. Blackjack is also name of situation where sum of the cards is exactly 21. [edit] ExamplesSituation 1 - Player wins Player's cards sum count up to 19 when dealer's sum of cards is 17. Since player has larger sum and rules prevent dealer to take more than 17 (in 17 dealer must stand), player wins. Situation 2 - Dealer wins Player's cards sum count up to 18 when dealer's sum of cards is 9. Dealer is allowed take more cards, and as dealer takes another card, it is 10, thus, making dealer's hand 19 and beating the player. Situation 3 - Blackjack Either player or dealer gets direct 21 by taking cards and wins the round. |
