Chip

Definition

Chip or playing chip is a token which is used during different kind of gamblings, such as poker or roulette. Chips come in several different values and are changed from or to money depending are you starting or ending the game.

Instead of using money, chips are used during game as a symbol for money and they have same value as the money.

Chips are sometimes referred as token.

Usage

Before player is able to play in the (online or regular) casino, he or she needs to obtain playing chips which can be used to play in casino. Player can obtain chips by buying them from the cashier. Chips carry same value as the money which was used to buy them.

For example:

• 1 dollars buy = 1$ Chip
• 5 dollars buy = 5$ Chip (or 5 x 1$ Chips)

After player has finished his or hers gaming, he or she can transfer playing chips back to the normal money.
